Early Career Scholars Travel Fund

The Early Career Scholars Travel Fund is designed to support scholars in the field of AI Education by providing them with an opportunity to attend and present at the AIDE 2026 conference. Two awardees will each receive a travel grant of 300 USD to facilitate their participation.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Academic Background and Research Interests: Applicants must have a clear focus in AI Education, with innovative research that demonstrates potential to advance the field.
  • Academic Impact and Contribution: Preference will be given to applicants who have published research in peer-reviewed journals or presented at conferences.
  • Career Stage: Applicants must be current PhD students, Master’s students (with supervisor confirmation), postdoctoral researchers (within 2 years of postdoc), or newly appointed faculty (with ≤ 3 years of teaching experience).
  • Academic Engagement: Applicants should demonstrate active participation in academic events and have a history of academic growth.
  • Financial Need: Applicants must provide a statement explaining why they need the travel funding.
  • Recommendation Letter: A recommendation from an academic advisor or peer evaluating the applicant’s potential and contributions.

  • Recommendation Letter from an academic advisor or peer

Confirmation and Fund Distribution

Awardees will be notified and must confirm their acceptance within 5 working days. The funds will be distributed via cash on-site or bank transfer, as per the awardee’s preference.

Attendance and Presentation

Awardees are required to attend the conference and present their research. If the awardee is unable to attend, the travel grant will be canceled, and the funding will be allocated to the third-ranked candidate.

Feedback Report

A brief feedback report sharing the experience and insights gained from the conference will be required from all awardees.

Please submit your application by June 30, 2026.

Result Notification

All applicants will be notified of the selection results by July 15, 2026.
